What do these all have in common?: Mickey, Despearoux, Hunka Monka, and Ratatouille. If you guessed small rodent you were correct.... you've also guessed our house guest.... or rather intruder. I was MORTIFIED when I heard from our house sitter that we have a mouse in the house.... and sure enough (yesterday after setting up all the Christmas decor) Leo found him. Cute as can be... behind our tv. Cute until it births a colony of mice that I can envision living inside of my furniture. So... (obviously) he/she HAS to go! Last night we ran around for a good two and a half hours chasing the rodent around our living room along with our neighbor (and his gun). Our beautiful living room now looks like a thief broke in and overturned all of it. After much screaming and many close encounters, one broken jar and tons of mouse jokes in the man vs. mouse adventure last night, the mouse (of whom I might rename FLASH) won. We set traps for the night, and he licked all the peanut butter off of the trigger. Today Leo placed a cheeze-it... and the whole cheeze-it was gone. He's obviously smart too. Now I'm paranoid and invested in a first line of defense: live traps, but my sympathy will only go so far and next up will be the poison. I'm determined to have Flash by tomorrow and the plan is to drop him off for a good education at WOU... or the field behind it at least.

While searching for how to catch a mouse I ran across this hilarious video that is worth watching and getting a good chuckle! (It's short).
