San Diego was great fun with family and totally surreal to be sitting under a blue sky next to palm trees. Leo and I took the public transit system (planes, trains and automobiles) to the San Diego zoo. We kept thinking of our nephews and niece and wished we could take them somewhere like it. It was truly an awesome zoo. (Both plants and animals).

We also got to meet Leo's step-sister, Kim, for the first time. Along with some of her friends. It was good to meet her finally and spend a small amount of time with her. Leo's dad and Brigid, his brother, Alex, and his step-brother, Brad all showed up too! We went to Brad's soccer game, Alex, Josh (Kim's friend) and Leo went surfing, got to see the USS Midway, walked along the marina's, went on a small bike ride and did a little shopping. Oh... and ate, and ate, and ate, and ate. Did I mention we ATE. It was a good time. It's always good to see family.
