Our first stop was the white house. O’ Bama must have been going on a trip because two snipers where on the roof and three black SUV’s in the back. Jen touched the gate and didn’t get shot. Guess she didn’t look dangerous enough.
Second stop was the Department of Treasury.
Third stop Washington Monument.
4th stop WW2 Memorial.
5th – Vietnam Memorial.
6th – Reflection Pool.
7th – Lincoln Memorial. Lot’s of police. Jen touched pilar – didn’t get shot.
We bought two pins from vendor. Probably got ripped of…but who cares, we’re on vacation. We needed to return to the hotel and get our rental car through Avis.
Note: ALWAYS get the GPS and Fastpass. Our marriage would have been in shambles without them.
From DC we headed to the Leo’s brother and Sister-in-laws house. We were very excited to see our family as it seems forever since we saw them last. We looked forward to seeing our two nephew’s Easton and Waylon and meet for the first time our niece, London.
Went through DC ~ no accident, Baltimore ~ drove under the river. Very cool. Neward, New York ~ no accident but got a little turned around.
Neat things: Leo Quote: “That’s what you get when you mix bad genes and moonshine.”
Drove by Great Britain …. Conneticut.
Saw the giants stadium.
Got to eat at Chick Falet! (Jen’s absolute favorite fast food!) It should hold her for another few years.
Favorite signs: Blind Pedestrian Crossing and “Accepting and Discharging Passengers Prohibited” Just made us giggle.
