I ended up painting over the girl and restoring it to just the trees as I felt like, though she was cute, it begged a story rather than enjoying the quality of the trees. They might be inspiring me to write a childrens story though. We'll see.

I like all of them. They are perfect illistration for a childrens book, or any book for that matter. I like the little girl a lot. Children like stories about other children and aminals. The girl with an unbrella in a cathederal of trees instantly made me think of, "His banner over me is love".
The 3 settings show me 3 different seasons/curcumstances, periods of time and/or emotions. Not necessarily long periods of time but rather a process of maturing through a learning period or event that makes you have to question, learn and grow from it. Passage, is the word that instanly comes to my mind when I look at them. Also a feeling of Hope.
What were you feeling or thinking when you painted them, and what do you feel when you look at them on this side of completion?,those are the questions you need to ask yourself. Then maybe something will begin to form in your mind that will bring a story to life. The pictures make me want to empty my mind and just journey off to the horizon beyond and discover what it holds. Even the winter painting. Those are my thoughts.
I encourage you again to reject the fear of rejection. You have the ultimate acceptance, You are a child of God. Anything else that may come your way is just another blessing on top of the best that you already have. Read again Romans 8:15-16, "For you did not recieve a spirit that makes you a slave to fear, but you recieved the spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children." I say go for it punkin! Even if it is just for your own child to read some day or some little one you know now, like Titus. Look at Beatrix Potter, Lewis Carrol, the lady who wrote the Harry Potter series, they all wrote them for personal use to start out. Write from your heart to some one you love, be it a person or your Savior whom you love, and it will be a great story.
We love you very much!

I forgot to tell you the winter painting reminds me of one of my favorite poems. Robert Frost's , Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening. " Whose woods these are I think I know, His house is in the village though......"
