"I've got good news, and I've got bad news. Which one would you like to hear first?"
This is a famous saying by ... me. It was the saying I used Thursday morning at 6:00 in the am.
Leo: "Give me the bad news first."
Jen: "There is water coming up from under our floor in the kitchen."
Leo" "What's the good news?"
Jen: "This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it." (sung)
Thursday night... the beginning of pulling it ALL up. That beautiful floor we installed just four years ago. Ruined. Ruined by what you ask? The EVIL dishwasher. Our arch nemesis. For some time now it's been leaking water under our flooring.
So... since they don't make our flooring anymore (quite convenient for the flooring industry, I might add.) we decided to go for the gusto and just do it all. Dinning room, stain the cabinets, redo the flooring, buy a new (more friendly) dishwasher (that actually does what it's supposed to do~ wash dishes, not spew out it's innards)
Here's where we are thus far. Keep in mind, we are in the middle of reconstruction. It always looks like an explosion before it gets beautiful!

You are doing a real nice job! The color is warm and rich and matches the feel of the rest of your place. The dining room looks bigger too. It will be nice and you will enjoy it so much when you finish. Wish we could have been there to help get the work done faster. We just got to get that plane done soon! Don't kill yourselves. It will be done soon enough. Proud of you both!!!!!

What a bummer way to start a home improvement project! I know it will look beautiful in the end. Let us know if you need any help.
