Let's Go Blazers

The flag team for MVCA performed at the Portland Trail Blazers. We went again this year. The girls were GREAT!!!! We travelled up to the game with some friends of ours Alan and Kelly Casey. Alan and Leo play basketball together on Tuesday's and they are also on a church league together.

It was a game against the Utah Jazz. It was an intense game. A player from both teams got dejected (including Alaska's Carlos Boozer from the Jazz... Leo and Kelly were disappointed as they were in support of Juneau. Kelly is from Juneau and went to the same high school as Carlos. Her cousin played with him in high school.) as well as the Utah Jazz's head coach. I'd never seen a coach get dejected.

Two things worthy of note:

1. Eat before going to a game unless you want to pay $8.50 for a hot dog.

2. Sit down low if you want to catch any of the prizes that they shoot or drop into the audience.

3. Never strike up an artistic conversation with a man who has his body spray painted for the game, unless you want to get multiple high fives, and maybe a body slam.
