Bummer

For Christmas I bought tickets for us to go to the Opera. (Our only Christmas present to each other.) Leo and I had talked about it and thought it would be an interesting experience. We have been really exciting for the evening. I went out and got a beautiful dress, Leo was going to wear one of his suits. Totally jazzed. Then today I went on-line to read some reviews about the performances. (When I bought them there were no audience reviews because it hadn't premiered yet.) I was mortified at what I read! Supposedly it had all sorts of psyschosexual stuff in it. So Leo and I opted to not go. I bought insurance on the tickets, but I guess I can get my money back in case of war, a pandemic, and oh... if I die. (That's always reassuring). Seeing as none of the above has happened, just the desire to not taint our minds with unneeded images, we bit the big one and perhaps later we will have a ticket burning ceremony. Such a disappointment, and seeing as we are so frugal with money (as it's hard to come by now-a-days) it just turns my stomach. Instead we used a gift card Leo got from some of the parents for coaching to go to a fancy smanshy restaurant called J. Bella's in Independence (very nice), rented some movies, and hunkered down here at home. Let's hope I can return the dress.

Regardless of the disappointment for the evening we are reminded of God's great love for us, and our obedience to Him as he paid the ultimate price for us. Thank you Lord for fore-warning us to shield our eyes and hearts. To the rest of you, rejoice in His great love.....our ULTIMATE VALENTINE!

Well, you do always have the insurance on the tickets in that God will reward you for not going to an opera full of garbage. You wouldn't have been able to make the Godly decision not to go unless you had bought the tickets. And to quote Reliant K "Isn't it great to know there's a silver lining!"

God Bless,
Justin

No, Al would not subject himself to such a thing. I'm just glad the show is over and won't be filling people's minds with things that don't need to be there.

yes, you should not think about such things. especially not when you're bobbing up and down on your husband's cock at night.

welcome to the real world.
