Fall Festivities!

Finally some fun! We went to the Bouman Farms today. Lots of fun! I'll try to post more pictures later as this one is a lame-O one. We are on the hay ride out to the pumpkin patch and the corn maze. This year was really fun... the dark maze was taller (so you didn't have to crouch down as much) but somebody brought a stroller into the inside. Bad idea as the maze includes much crawling through hay bails, and squeezing through small areas. Did the hay bail obstacle course. Ate yummy food... had my first sour krout sausage dog.... pretty good. Had apple cider, ate Carmel corn, went on the zip line, petted at the petting zoo, watched other people waste their money launching apples from an apple cannon, went through the fort, and sailed the high seas on the Bouman Pearl (a to scale Pirate ship built from 1,000 lbs. bails of hay). We also wandered through the stores and enjoyed watching all the kids. Nothing like good family fun! I'm glad I'm not allergic to hay! Like Leo said the other day..."It's a once a year experience for us, kinda' like Christmas." It's one of our favorite fall activities! The colors are bright here and I'm trying to savor every moment of cheery fall weather before the heavens open up and the bucket loads of water begins. Why do we say that it's the heavens that open up anyway? I certainly hope it doesn't rain like it does here in heaven. Ugh!
