The older kids also created pinch pot ocarina's (whistles). The trick is getting them to actually whistle. All of the kids succeeded with flying colors. (I was a little worried). Depending on how many holes you put in it and how big they are, you can actually achieve different pitches. The sound really deep like a train whistle or Australian instrument. I actually found a website on line that taught how to create a digerie doo (I'm probably spelling that incorrectly...you know the Australian Crocodile Dundee instrument). They are pretty big and elaborate. Maybe another day.
