Tuesday we went to the Portland Trail Blazers game.  They were playing against the Phoenix Suns.  Phoenix won, but not without a good fight.  We thought the game might go into over time, but were thankful they didn't because our dogs had only been out for fifteen minutes during the day and we really needed to get home.  So here were the adventures of the day.  Leo got off school, let out the pups, hauled himself and one of his students out to pick up his dad, after the dad pickup they came and picked up me from Claggett.  The ride up was interesting--us all learning about what goes into a marchiano cherry from Sams dad who works for the company.  At this point I would like to discourage all human beings from eating processed, or preserved fruit-- specially a marchiano cherry!  The process:
Pick non-ripe cherries
Suck every ounce of goodness out of the cherry except for it's membrane
Store it in brine and other chemicals for eight years
Boil it to get the brine "out"
Soak it it sugar water for a very long time
Soak it in artificial cherry flavoring and "other chemicals"
Package it up in a jar floating in.... what is that stuff anyway?
Sell it to you.
Mmmm, marchiano goodness.

Had a hotdog lately...you probably don't want to know what's in those, either. Guarantee you won't eat another!
