As I was sitting thinking of what else is new in our lives this week I noticed how "in bloom" we are here in Oregon.  The daffodils are in full glory, everything is GREEN (and needing to be mowed), and the flowers just outside our office window are beautiful.  I decided to take a picture just in between the torrential down pour that even now as I am writing is spewing forth from the heavens.  In Oregon it's not just the April showers that bring May flowers.... it's the November through April showers.... but the flowers sure are pretty.

Those are beautiful. In Singapore its the "3PM torrential, pull your laundry in before you have to re-wash because of the acid rain, get out the umbrella and hike up your pants rain/lightning/thunderstorm". We don't really have a yard to grow flowers in so we keep our plants inside where we can take full responsibility for killing them (I over-water because I don't know what I am doing and Noelle under waters because she doesn't remember to water, so in the end it works out pretty well).
