Yesterday school got done and the work began.  We scurried around trying to get together all the things needed for the set up of the winter formal for MVCA high school.  The picture isn't half as nice as the real thing as pictures always seem to look significantly SMALLER than what's really there.  For a zero budget formal, in a HUGE gym-like room I'd have to say things turned out nicely.  It kinda' looks like we are going to put on some sort of play, but the kids enjoyed the ambiance and the backdrop made for a good picture opportunity.  Kids showed up all nicely put together with the appropriate masks for a masquerade.  They were served lasagna bread sticks and tarts (cupcakes) with sparkling cider.  Then we all changed and whizzed off to Bowinkles family fun center and had a night of laser tag, go-carts, batting cages, and put-put golf.  Afterwards we all headed to our traditional Shari's and ordered up fries and milkshakes.  We got back at about 12:30 and Leo and I slithered into bed at 1:00.  You know you are getting older when 1:00 seems like you've pulled an all nighter.  Of course it doesn't help when pups are whining for their breakfast at 5:30 in the morning either.  We're tired but had a great night with the kids.  They are a neat bunch!

It is beautiful! A shame to be used only once. The church should have a speghetti dinner fund raiser for the public to attend to boost their budget and sell the school.
